About Skyguard
The UK’s leading personal safety service for lone workers and vulnerable individuals
Established in 2000 to provide the best possible personal safety and backup service for lone working professionals and vulnerable individuals, Skyguard has taken this basic mandate to its ultimate extension.
Three years market research and technology design (to source the right personal safety devices and develop the best software) was followed by over £3 million invested in setting-up the service infrastructure. Extensive and successful field trials with the Police and other organisations followed in 2006.
In 2008 a new management team and investors were engaged to take the company to the next level. A further £2 million was invested in 2009 to create new devices, software, and the construction of an Incident Management Centre in Surrey, dedicated to the monitoring of personal safety alarms.

Jan Murray – A Success Story
Non-executive Chairman, Send for Help ltd.
In March 2010 Skyguard Ltd was acquired by the Send for Help Group. Send for Help Ltd is owned by Nebula Associates Ltd,
which is the investment vehicle of Jan Murray, the Technology Entrepreneur.
Jan is best known as the founder of the PC World chain of computer superstores which he sold to Dixons Group in 1993.
He subsequently founded Internet Technology Group Plc in 1995, an Internet Service Provider formed to offer high speed connections
to business customers and the general public. The company was floated on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange in 1997 and was
voted “UK Internet Service Provider of the Year” in 1999 and 2000. In 2000 the company was sold to Concentric Corp. (Nasdaq.CNCX)
for $250 Million, the largest sale of an independent ISP in the UK!
The main business focus of the Murray family is now Skyguard Ltd; several million pounds are earmarked to be invested over the
next 3 years to enable the company to continually expand in the UK, and across Europe. The Murray family's ambition is to build
Skyguard into the world leader in personal safety services for lone workers and people at risk. Drawing from our vast experience
in dealing with life threatening incidents on a daily basis, combined with cutting edge infrastructure and training methods, Skyguard
now provides a service that is seen by many as peerless.
