If you ever find yourself in vulnerable situations when you may need urgent assistance of any kind, a new service launching to the UK this November will mean that you are only ever moments away from someone who can help.

As the UK's first Complete Personal Safety Service, the Skyguard Service combines a pocket sized personal safety alarm, (with GPS and GSM capabilities), with a 24 hour control centre and National Response Service. It has been designed to reassure you that someone will be there to support you any time, any place. Whether in a city, or remote countryside, the location can be pinpointed within 10 metres.

Skyguard's personal safety alarm, developed by Skyguard Technologies Ltd, enables you to connect to professional Controllers at the Skyguard Emergency Response Centre (ERC), who will deal with your situation in the most effective way. As soon as you call for assistance using your personal safety alarm, a Controller will not only be able to speak to you through Skyguard's personal safety alarm, but will also be able to access vital personal information to help them deal with your situation. For example important medical details and significant information about your lifestyle will all appear on Skyguard's personal safety alarm Customer Control Panel.

Skyguard, under the Chairmanship of Lord Dear, former Chief Constable of the West Midlands Police, has developed the Service to make sure the Controllers know your precise position and identity when you send for help. "The Emergency Controllers take all the available information and use it to assess and tackle the emergency in the most suitable way – it's the unique service behind it that makes Skyguard's personal safety alarm so special," says Lord Dear.
