Skyguard's personal safety alarm

A discreet palm-sized personal safety alarm specifically designed to allow an employee to call for help at any time without compromising their personal safety.

GPS satellites provide an accurate position of the employee, normally to within 10 metres. The alarm will remember its last position, even when entering a building.

Mobile phone technology provides text messaging and voice communications. Discreet activation of the alarm will send its location to the Skyguard Emergency Response Centre followed by a one-way voice connection allowing the employee to be heard by the Controller.

Two-way voice communications allow the Controller to talk to, and reassure, the employee once their personal safety has been assured.

A memo function enables employees to record specific information relevant to their visit, which will be immediately available to Controllers if an alarm is then activated.

Additional functions allow the employee to make position requests and activate a timer, which, if not cancelled within a set period, will automatically activate the alarm.

The employee can hear the Controller up to 1 metre from Skyguard's personal safety alarm and the Controller can hear voice/ambient noise from up to 2 metres from the alarm.

The battery life of the alarm is more than sufficient to cover a working day and on standby will cover in excess of 14 hours.

Skyguard's personal safety alarm adheres to appropriate regulatory approvals and certification: CE, EMC, SAR and RoHS + show more info
